Stephen Doubt is an Instructional Designer at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) – Open Learning. While focused on course design, he is particularly interested in fostering student engagement and leveraging the tools of the internet to improve learning.

Prior to earning a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Design from the University of Saskatchewan, he spent many years as a  grade 8-12 English Language Arts teacher, working his way from Turkey to Ireland to Switzerland before teaching in public and private schools in Saskatchewan and Alberta. As a teacher, Stephen worked to incorporate new technologies to improve learning in the classroom.

When not focused on the finer points of education, he is usually in a tent, on skis, riding his bike too fast, or playing ultimate.
